The member of the Judges Education Committee wish to place on record, our sincere thanks to Ms. Pamela Preston, for a truly outstanding job in formatting our Powerpoint Presentation. It was a magnificent effort on her part. We have recieved numerous calls and feedback from several individuals, through second party references, who have heaped generous praise in connectin with our recently concluded seminar in Portland. We also want to thank
Charlotte Comstock for her very significant contribution at this event.
The Judging Operations Department of the American Kennel Club is now in charge of Judges Education. One of the key components to qualify
for any additional breed will be approved ringside observations. As a result, we must maintain and provide an up to date list of mentors to the Judging Operations Department. The Observer Judge and Mentor
must sit at ringside and discuss the exhibits. A minimum of three ringside observations for each breed requested, with at least two majors must be met.
We also want to publicly thank the members of the SUB COMMMITEE ON MENTORING for their superb effort in putting the pieces together. They are Mrs. Charlotte Comstock, Dr. Ellen Kennedy and Ms. Janet Harner. Mentors
have great responsibilities given the emphasis on judges education and we will work diligently to ensure the continued success of our program. The Powerpoint Presentation will be updated. Kindly contact any member of the
Committee listed hereunder, with any suggestions as we move forward to the National in 2007.
