BTCA Emergency Road and Evacuation Help Network
If you are interested in listing your home to be a safe haven for one of our members during either an Emergency Road Breakdown of their RV or for a family fleeing an area where a hurricane is projected to land, we need to hear from you asap so we can get your information posted as soon as possible.
Please send us :
1. Your Name
2. Complete Home Address
3. E-mail address
4. The quickest way that someone can get a hold of you: ie: home or Cell phone number.
5. List what you have to offer: If you have an area set up to park an RV at with electric hook-up, please list the
power amount as either 50 amp, 30 amp or 20 amp.
6. Note if water is easily available.
7. Note how far it is to the closest RV Dump site.
8. Note if you have an extra fenced in area for them to exercise their dogs in or if you would be willing to share
the fenced area your dogs use.
Maybe you do not have space for an RV but would be willing to let someone live with you for a short time with a dog
or two. Or maybe you only have space to take a few dogs for someone. List anyway that you would be willing to help.
We'll post the information broken down by State like we have it in our Membership Rooster.
If you need to evacuate your area, please, contact Sue LeCalsey at AchatesBostons@Ameritech.Net for the password to locate someone willing to help out. Call and see if their posted space is available. If that person's available space is already going to be occupied by someone else, just call the next person. When you find a home that can help you out, go to www.MapQuest.Com for directions. PLEASE, do not stay behind and put yourself and your dogs in jeopardy. Head to someones home that is offering a Safe Haven. None of us want to see anyone go through this kind of devastation and loss.
